The majority of Sri Lankans in Afghanistan travelled to safer destinations

There are nearly ninety Sri Lankans in Afghanistan, and a majority of them have travelled to safer countries, diplomatic sources said
Sri Lankan’s worked with UN agencies, and other NGO’s have already gone to surrounding countries, and they will be coming back to Sri Lanka soon. He said.
Originally there were nearly 300 Sri Lankan nationals working in Afghanistan. However, the number dropped drastically following the decision by the US forces to withdraw on a phase-out basis, he added.
