A man from Mt.Lavina who telephoned the Moratuwa Mayor and inquired “Dan Sepada –(Are you happy and getting on well)” has been arrested by the Police.
Moratuwa Mayor Samanlal Fernando who obstructed a vaccination programme conducted by the Medical Officer of Health was remanded by the Moratuwa Magistrate and was released recently on bail.
The Police traced telephone records after the Mayor complained about the man.
Police sources said the man has kicked up a row with the Mayor on an earlier occasion too.
