More Guests at Weddings Allowed

More guests will be allowed at weddings, the Government Information Department announced today, July 6^th.   The press release states that this step has been taken as there have been no cases of COVID-19 reported for several weeks. Accordingly, the maximum number of guests allowed, which includes the bridal party, band members and performing artists will be 300 or 50% of  the seating capacity of the venue. Either way, the maximum number allowed will be 300.  The new ruling comes into effect as of July 6^th. While the restriction on the number of guests has been increased, the release states that all other health guidelines such as being a meter apart from each other, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, must be observed at weddings. According to the Health Promotion Bureau 149 Covid-19 patients are still seeking hospital assistance with over 1,900 patients having recovered and discharged since the outbreak.
