Namal Rajapaksa named fourth accused in Krrish bribery case

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna MP Namal Rajapaksa has been named as the fourth accused in a case filed before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court over alleged financial irregularities and bribery linked to the Krrish property development project.

The case has been filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption in connection with allegations involving Krrish, a prominent Indian property development company.

Investigations and court proceedings are continuing.

CIABOC officials have also recorded a statement from Rajapaksa while he remains in remand custody, after obtaining permission from court.

The investigation concerns allegations of financial misconduct and bribery connected to the Krrish transaction.
