We will change the CPEC Bill once elected-SJB

‘We will change the Colombo port City Economic Commission Bill when we are elected to office,” said Opposition and SJB leader Sajith Premadasa, said.

The opposition Samagi Jana Balavegaya staged a silent protest opposite Parliament this morning against the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill while setting fire to the bill.

They called it a treacherous act by the government.

They alleged that the government was trying to pass the bill amidst the fast spreading pandemic and curtailing protests using quarantine laws.

Police said that protests are not possible under the prevailing situation.
