A Parliamentary Select Committee has been appointed to control and eradicate the rapidly spreading drug menace in the country

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana informed the parliament today (01) that a parliamentary Select Committee led by Public Security Minister Tiran Alles has been appointed to look into and identify the mechanisms to be implemented in order to immediately control and eradicate the rapidly spreading drug menace in the country and to submit observations and recommendations to Parliament in that regard.
Members are parliamentarians Sisira Jayakody, (Dr.) (Ms.) Seetha Arambepola, Buddhika Pathirana, (Dr.) Gayashan Nawananda, Thushara Indunil Amarasena, (Dr.) Upul Galappaththi, (Major) Sudarshana Denipitiya, Asanka Navarathna, Upul Mahendra Rajapaksha, Thavaraja Kalasan, and Manjula Dissanayakewere
