People protest against the appointment of Ms. Charles as the Northern Governor.

A group of people held a protest in Jaffna today against the new Northern Governor, PMS Charles. The protestors said that Charles was serving the province as governor for three years, and she did not give an ear to the people's issues during her tenure. The protestors said she has been reappointed to the post not because of her talent but because of her contribution to protecting the power of the president.
