Policeman arrested over assault

The Policeman who assaulted a lorry driver in the Maharagama area was arrested by the Police yesterday. According to Police the lorry driver from Pannipitya was involved in an accident where the Traffic OIC was of the Maharagama police was seriously injured and hospitalized. The assult ensued the accident and a video of the Police action went viral in the social media compelling, Police authorities to take immediate action.
