President makes three key appointments in the Judiciary

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed the President of the Court of Appeal Justice ArjunaObeysekara as a Supreme Court Judge with the concurrence of the Parliamentary Council. Meanwhile, Justice Priyantha Fernando of the Court of Appeal appointed as the President of the Court of Appeal. High Court Judge SashiMahendran promoted to the Court of Appeal as a judge of the Court of Appeal. Justice L.T.B Dehideniya of the Supreme Court, to be appointed as a member of the Judicial Service Commission, as one of the three most senior judges of the Supreme Court. All these appointments concurrently approved by the Parliamentary Council.
