Price increase in bread in the offing

  The price of a loaf of bread is likely to cost consumers rupees 10 more from next week. Correspondingly a kilogram of wheat flour produced by the Serendib flour Mills costs the bakery producers Rs 18 more than the earlier price. Earlier, the prices of other bakery products were increased by Rs 5-to 10 owing to the Oil price hike imposed by the government.
