Prisons officials today manhandled Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayke and pushed him into the prison bus when he arrived at the Sri Lanka Press council for an investigation and to give evidence.
As he walked out of the Press council he attempted to talk but the prisons officials pushed him to the bus as he fell.
Meanwhile, a Jailor has been interdicted after a selfie of Ranjan Ramanayake along with Parliamentarian Harshana Rajakaruna has been leaked to the press.
Prison authorities said action will be taken in terms of the Prison Ordinance and a comprehensive report would be presented to the Speaker.
