Extremely rare corundum as a single crystal blue sapphire was found in Sri Lanka. Known as the world’s largest natural specimen ever found, the corundum weighs 310kgs.

The National Gem and Jewelry authority said that it has been named as the “Queen of Asia”.

Tests have been carried out at the Ratnapura Gemology laboratory and found that all specimens of the corundum are natural.
