Rupee appreciates against several international currencies

The Sri Lanka Rupee has recorded a sharp appreciation against the Sterling Pound after it significantly dropped yesterday.
According to the daily currency exchange rate issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the selling rate of the US Dollar, which was Rs. 203 yesterday, has been reduced by a cent to Rs. 202.99.
However, the Sterling Pound dropped quite significantly to Rs. 282.32.from Rs 317.47.
The Euro, which was selling at Rs. 273.52 yesterday, has also dropped drastically to Rs. 243.52.
The Canadian Dollar and the Japanese Yen also dropped by at least 20 rupees fifteen cents respectively against the Rupee. Accordingly, the selling price of the Canadian Dollar dropped to Rs. 163.38 while the Japanese Yen reduced to Rs 1.86
