SAU, RCSS sign MOU to boost South Asian research

The South Asian University (SAU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Regional Centre for Strategic Studies (RCSS) in Colombo to strengthen research, academic cooperation and regional engagement in South Asia.
According to a joint release, the agreement will facilitate joint research, capacity-building programmes, knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, publications and conferences, while creating opportunities for young scholars.
The agreement marks the first MOU between SAU and an independent research think tank in Sri Lanka.
SAU President Prof. K.K. Aggarwal said the partnership would further strengthen the university’s ties with Sri Lanka and contribute to efforts to advance the objectives of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
RCSS Executive Director Ambassador Ravinatha Aryasinha said the MOU would open new avenues for collaboration in research and policy dialogue.
The agreement was formally launched virtually, with representatives of SAU in New Delhi and RCSS in Colombo participating in the event.
