Popular Sri Lankan YouTuber Sepal Amarasinghe was today ordered to be further remanded until February 14 after being produced before Colombo Chief Magistrate Prasanna Alwis.
Attorney-at-law Darshana Kuruppu said his client is ready for a public apology if his remarks hurt the sentiments of Buddhist monks and the Buddhist community living all over the world. He further said he is expecting to make representation to the Attorney General.
The prosecution alleged that the suspect had committed punishable offences under the provisions of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) Act, the Antiquity Ordinance, and the Penal Code.
