Several political parties submit their proposals on the 13th amendment

Political parties representing parliament have reportedly submitted their opinions to the Presidential Secretariat with regard to the 13th Amendment to the Constitution.
Several organisations have also forwarded their suggestions with regard to the 13th Amendment to the Constitution.
Eight main political parties including Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, United National Party, National Freedom Front, United Republic Front, EPDP., Democratic Left Front, Tamil National Front , United People's Front , National Congress , Tamil Makkal Pesiya Kuttani Party and TNS had submitted their proposals to the Presidential Secretariat by Tuesday.
Sources in the Presidential Office stated that these parties and organizations have focused more on the areas of police powers, land, education, health, elections and local government in their comments and proposals regarding the 13th Amendment.
