Several variants including the Indian variant present in Sri Lanka

Department of Immunology and Molecular Medicine of the Sri Jayewardenepura University has detected the presence of various variants including the Indian Variant in Sri Lanka.

The other variants are the UK variant, Denmark/European Middle Eastern variant, Nigerian variant and the South African variant.

A letter sent by Professor Neelika Malavige and Dr Chandiam Jeewandra explain this situation adequately.
