Shani further remanded

  Gampaha Magistrate further remanded former Director of the CID Shani Abeysekara till 3rd of March along with two other suspects. He was arrested for allegedly providing false evidence in a case involving former DIGVas Gunawardena Mr Abeysekara was arrested on July 20th last year on a charge of allegedly fabricating false evidence against DIG Gunawardena. However, during the latter part of the year, he received treatment at the IDH hospital after contracting Covid19.
