Shiranthi Rajapaksa leaves for Singapore for medical treatment

Shiranthi Rajapaksa left Sri Lanka for Singapore early on Wednesday, after being admitted to a private hospital in Colombo the previous day due to illness.
She departed from Bandaranaike International Airport at 1.10 a.m. on Singapore Airlines flight SQ-469.
Anne de Livera, the mother-in-law of Rohitha Rajapaksa, travelled with her.
Rajapaksa had been taken directly from the hospital to the airport before her departure.
Reports said that as final boarding announcements were being made, police informed her that she was required to appear before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division on 24 September.
De Livera is expected to accompany Rajapaksa for medical treatment in Singapore and return to Sri Lanka on Friday.
