Shortage of Astra Zeneca vaccines

There is a shortage of at least 600,000 Astra Zeneca vaccines to carry out the second phase of the vaccination according to Health Authorities. Meanwhile Minister Sudharshin Fernandopulle had reportedly said that the people cannot have a choice but to take any vaccine available for them. The government has already commenced the second phase of vaccination of Astra Zeneca, but it could be limited only to frontline health workers and the tri forces and the Police sources said.
