Reveal real culprits behind the Easter Sunday attack
The SLFP Central Committee yesterday unanimously decided to reject the commission report on the Eater Sunday Attack that occurred in April 2019. The SLFP putting its weight behind former President Maithripla Sirisena said the allegations against him were baseless and called on the government to reveal the actual culprits behind the Easter Sunday attack. The Central Committee which met to discuss the Commission Report said although there had been scores of witnesses and many contradictions the Commission has failed to identify the actual brains behind this heinous crime. Meanwhile, Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has told an Indian TV channel that it would have been better if the Commission report specifically mentioned that he was not aware of such a warning by the security apparatus and that he was not kept informed of the impending act of terrorism. He said none of his Ministers had any hand on the matter and they were all beyond the line of responsibility according to the Commission report.RELATED NEWS
