Social media activist Bruno Divakara was arrested and remanded

Social media activist Bruno Divakara, arrested for allegedly aiding and abetting the publication of the controversial remarks made by Nathasha Edirisooriya, was today remanded till June 7 after being produced before Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court.

The CID alleged that suspect Bruno Divakara had published the offensive remarks made by stand-up comedian Nathasha Edirisooriya on his ‘SL Vlog’ YouTube channel, paving the way for inciting religious disharmony among various religious communities.

Comedian Nathasha Edirisooriya is also currently under remand custody for allegedly making comments on Buddhism that are detrimental to the country's religious harmony.
