A Sri Lankan maid, 40, working in Singapore, had jumped off the 8th floor of a housing complex.
The victim, a resident of Dankotuwa, had reportedly informed her friends that she was facing various harassments at the hands of the householder.
She had told them that her request for him to send her back to Sri Lanka did not receive a positive response.
The postmortem was conducted in Singapore on the same day her remains were to be brought to Colombo.
Sri Lanka Foreign Ministry sources say investigations are continuing into her death, and the Sri Lankan Mission is in touch with the relevant agencies.
