The Railway Station Masters Association has decided to stage a twenty-four-hour work stoppage from midnight today.
According to a spokesperson, the station masters are protesting against the government’s failure to provide adequate hygienic facilities necessary for the station masters to discharge their duties.
They allege that a considerable number of the station masters have fallen victims to the Covid pandemic, owing to its rapid spread.
