A suspect who was arrested by the Thalangama police on a warrant issued by the court for possession of drugs escaped police custody after he jumped out of the police jeep yesterday (15) while being brought to the police station after an examination by the Judicial Medical Officer.
The suspect was being brought back after he was seen by the Judicial Medical Officer by an apprentice police constable.(IR)
