A student of St. Michael’s College, Batticaloa, succeeded in setting a new world record yesterday (28) by swimming between Danuskodi in India and Talaimannar.
Devendran Madhushikan completed swimming a distance of 30 kilometres in 14 hours across Palk Straits and claimed the new world record as a schoolboy.
