The travel restrictions now in force throughout the country may have to be extended further if the existing restrictions are not properly adhered to. Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA) President Dr. Padma Gunaratne said today.
“The travel restrictions should be tightened and monitored effectively that unnecessary movements are curtailed, to combat the rampant virus” she said.
Dr. Gunaratne said Sri Lanka is not out of the woods as yet, and the risk remains active where 2000 and more positive cases reported daily
The country is not out of danger and hence it important make every effort to put an end to the pandemic she added
