Former President Maithripala Sirisena said yesterday in Jaffna that he was not aware of a DNA test that is said to have been conducted over the death of LTTE leader Valupillai Prabhakaran, even though he was acting Minister of Defence during the last two weeks of the war.
He was speaking at a press conference held at the SLFP office in Nallur on Sunday.
He said that when former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was overseas, he was giving orders to the Triforces from that country.
"Though I was the acting Minister of Defence during the last two weeks of the war, I was very much in the dark about the death of the LTTE leader", Sirisena said.
