Vietnam Embassy official's house was burgled

Police yesterday arrested a suspect for stealing money running into over Rs 1 million from a house in Ward Place, where the administrative officer of the Vietnam Embassy resides.

The court allowed the police to detain the suspect for questioning. Police sources said that the suspect needs to be questioned as the investigations showed that he was involved in many other thefts.

The suspect, who broke into the house yesterday morning (26) at around 3.30 am and stole money, is a 42-year-old resident of Maradana.
