Visumpaya, the former state guest house, will be converted into a high-end boutique hotel

The Urban Development Authority reached an agreement yesterday with a private company to develop the former State Guest House, Visumpaya (Acland House), as a hotel.   This company will run this building as a hotel without damaging its antiquity under a 50-year lease agreement. It will have luxury rooms, common areas, and restaurants to accommodate high-end tourists.
