Showers will occur in the Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts, the Met Department said.
Showers may occur in the North Western Province. also Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the Uva and Eastern Provinces during the evening or night, the Department said.
Elsewhere, the weather will be mainly dry. Wind will be strong at times in the North-Central Province and in the Hambantota and Trincomalee districts. (40-50), the Meteorological Department said in a statement. The Meteorological Department warns the public to take necessary measures to reduce the risk of temporary strong winds and thunderstorms.
