The debate on the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Easter Sunday attack will be taken up for debate in Parliament on Wednesday March 10.

Accordingly the government will move the Adjournment debate on the report, and the debate will commence at 11.00 am and will go on till 5.00pm.

However the opposition points out that the report is incomplete and several sections of the report are yet to reach the Attorney General.

They have pointed out that it would be rather difficult for anybody to think of constructive steps to be taken without the full report being released

Meanwhile, a notice of motion by the women Parliamentarians; Caucus to establish a Select Committee to look into and report to the Parliament its recommendations to ensure gender equity and equality with special emphasis on gender-based discriminations and violations of women’s rights in Sri Lanka is also scheduled to be presented to Parliament on the 9th of March
