Forty Independent Parliamentarians sat on the opposition benches when Parliament commenced sittings today after a respite.
Former president and Leader of the SLFP, Maithripala Sirisena, said they would work independently of the traditional opposition and steer clear of the main opposition party SamagiJana Balwegaya.
