Former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa will step down and resign from his Parliamentary seat tomorrow. sources said.
Mr Rajapksa made several attempts to drop the clause on the eligibility of a dual citizen to enter the House of Parliament.
However, other parties insisted the clause should remain intact. The clause would ban dual citizens from entering Parliament and render them unable to sit and vote in Parliament.
