The Colombo High Court today permitted Parliamentarian Udaya Gammanpila to travel overseas from November 23 to November 29.
Former Minister Gammanpila, whose passport was impounded by the court for allegedly misappropriating Rs. 21 million following the alleged fraudulent share transaction that took place in 2000, had sought the Colombo High Court’s permission to temporarily lift his travel ban.
The Court was informed that Gammanpila is expecting to participate in a religious function to be held in India during this period.
