Conspirators can grab power through conspiracies, but they would not be able to sustain that power since God has already cursed them. These are the observations made by Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith addressing the participants of “the walk for justice” campaign launched by the people of Negombo demanding justice for the victims of the Easter Sunday carnage of 2019.
The walk started at 6.00 in the morning from St Sebastian’s church in Katuwapitiya Negombo and ended at the St Anthony’s shrine in Kochchikade Colombo.
It is obvious who the culprits are, but the government is trying to escape by putting the blame only on the Muslim community. This government exploited the Easter Sunday carnage to come to power but failed to implement most of the findings of the Special Presidential Commission appointed for the purpose. The Archbishop said.
The GOd’s curse is already upon those responsible for the carnage.
