Court allows Pavithra to go overseas
August 24, 2022

Former Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi was allowed to travel to the Netherlands from September 9 to October 9 by the Colombo Fort Magistrate.
On considering the submissions made by her counsel, Asitha Siriwardena, Magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered to temporarily lift the travel ban imposed on SLPP MP Wanniarachchi.
The travel ban was imposed because of the ongoing police investigation into the incident at Galle Face Gota Go Gama Colombo on June 9.
She was alleged to have instigated the goons who attacked and assaulted the peaceful protesters through a speech made by her at Temple Trees before the attack.
