Police found the body of a Danish tourist who went missing for four days while climbing Alagallakanda in Poththapitiya, Kadugannawa, at the foot of the mountain today.

The woman, named Karen Munk, is believed to have fallen to her death from the mountain.

Police said that she was staying at a tourist hotel on Ampitiya Road, Kandy, and left the hotel on July 10th at around 8.30 a.m., informing the hotel manager that she was going to climb Kadugannawa mountain.

The police, together with the Police Special Task Force and Army, launched an operation in search of her following a complaint by the owner of the hotel to the Kandy Tourist Police on July 13.
