Debate Emergency regulations today, suspend standing orders of Parliament- TNA

Tamil National Alliance M.A Sumanthiran urged the government to place the proclamation of the emergency regulations before the House. He said the government could suspend the standing orders and place the proclamation for approval or otherwise. If the state of emergency continues for the next fourteen days, without the approval of Parliament, the government could abuse the regulations. Such abusive action of the government could become legal, which would be unfortunate.
