Fonseka tells the President to stop arresting people

Sri Lanka’s conflict time army commander General Sarath Fonseka told President Ranil Wickremesinghe to stop issuing arrest warrants for people and to stop arresting them.
He told parliament today during the debate on the vote to approve the state of emergency that the President must also stop beating youth.
‘The emergency regulations have been brought in not to protect the people but to suppress them and to protect parliamentarians’, he said.
