Fort Magistrate bailed out the police sergeant who joined the demonstrators at Galle Face.

Police sergeant Amaradasa of the Fort Police station, charged for causing disaffection by openly engaging in the protest near the Presidential Secretariat, had been enlarged on bail. The Fort Police produced before the Fort Magistrate for inciting people against the government. The Magistrate subsequently released him on a surety of each 300,000 furnished by three people.
