The Fort Magistrate summons President Sirisena in relation to a private plaint filed on the Easter Sunday attack.

The Colombo Magistrate's Court today issued notices directing former President Maithripala Sirisena to appear in court on October 14 over a private complaint relating to the Easter Sunday attack.
The Magistrate, Thilina Gamage, further decided to name former President Maithripala Sirisena as a suspect in the private plaint.
The Rev. Fr. Cyril Gamini Fernando and Jesuraj Ganeshan, victims of the Easter Sunday attack, had filed a private plaint urging them to take legal action against the former President under section 298 of the Penal Code for causing the death of innocent children by negligence.
