Handover letter calling for the establishment of an interim government.

The Maha Sangha, backed by the Mahanayake of the main chapters, has proposed to the President to formulate an interim government of all parties to face the current challenges the country is facing.

The Mahnayakes have called for the resignation of the entire government and Prime minister Mahinda Rajapaksa to resolve the issues. Ven. Dr Omalpe Sobitha handed over a letter containing a set of proposals to a Police officer near the Presidential Secretariat to be handed over to the President.
