IMF is hopeful of technical discussions while the US urges Sri Lankan leaders to act swiftly.

The International Monetary Fund has expressed optimism that a resolution of the current situation will allow for the resumption of our dialogue on an IMF-supported program in Sri Lanka.
The IMF said they were hoping to continue technical discussions with the officials in the Ministry of Finance & Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, the United States has urged Sri Lankan leaders to act quickly to identify & implement solutions that will achieve long-term economic stability & address People's discontent
