A total of 12 fishermen from Karaikal were arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy on the charge of trespassing the International Maritime Boundary Line. The boat in which they were fishing near Veththalakerni was seized.
The fishermen and their boat are to be taken to the Kankesanthurai Fisheries Harbour for further legal proceedings. (The Hindu)
