US Ambassador in Sri Lanka Julie Chung has emphasized the need to have a fully transparent investigation into the Rambukkana Incident. She made this assertion when she discussed the matter with the Human rights Commission of Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, the Human Rights Commission has dispatched a team of investigators to Rambukkana to hold an on the spot investigation. Meanwhile, in Parliament SJB, Parliamentarian Nalin Bandara accused one SSP Keerthiratne as responsible for the shooting incident. He said three Cabinet Ministers, each from Hambantota, Kandy, and Kegalle, should take responsibility for exerting pressure on Kerthiratne to open fire on the peaceful protestors. Keerthiraten, on the other hand, has used three Policemen who expended 90 bullets at the protesting crowd.
