Be patient with the government, says the Prime Minister in a  passionate plea.

As the incumbent government, we take responsibility for the issues that plague the country today, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa said, making a statement. "We are doing everything at our disposal to resolve the issues at hand", he said, requesting the people to be patient. The Prime Minister said how efficiently they handled the Corona pandemic. He also said they saved the country from a greater catastrophe because of timely action. He did not forget to blame the previous government for the power crisis. The current power crisis is a direct result of the failure of the previous government to carry forward its action plan. The Prime Minister said It was not our intention to keep the people groping in the dark or let the people queue up on the roads. The Prime Ministers' passionate plea was to remain calm and be patient that they would do everything possible to resurrect the country.
