The PM tells Parliament: "Not to fish in troubled waters."

Even if we cant to resolve the current problems within twenty-four hours, we have the determination to overcome the present crisis within a short period, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa told Parliament.
The Prime minister invited the opposition to extend their cooperation to salvage the country from the present economic quagmire.
He also emphasised that it is not the time to fish in troubled waters.
" We have received positive responses from the IMF, and friendly countries are extending their goodwill to Sri Lanka," the Prime Minister said.
The President, he said, is taking steps to manage the fuel crisis within the coming weeks.
" We have invited the protestors from the Galle Face for discussions, and I hope all will cooperate at this juncture to overcome the problems faced by the country."
