President to resign on July 13.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has informed the Speaker that he intends to tender his resignation as the executive President on July 13.
The Speaker conveyed the decision of the Party leaders to the President and the Prime minister following a discussion with them this afternoon.
Prime Minister is also likely to follow suit allowing new appointments to the key political positions.
