President to review country's defence strategy

President Ranil Wickremesinghe told parliament today that he proposes to review the country’s  defence strategy called “National Security - 2030” to design defence policies to face emerging realities.

‘As a geo-politically important country, Sri Lanka should work with everyone’, he said.  

The review will be done to achieve this objective and to develop capabilities and knowledge of Sri Lanka’s security forces to reflect the needs of the modern and evolving world.
